No new signage or road markings will be installed at an A90 underpass in Aberdeenshire where a lorry drove the wrong way into traffic, narrowly missing oncoming vehicles.

Footage taken from the dashcam of a car driving towards the lorry shows the moment the collision nearly occurred on the B9000 slip road at the Newburgh turn-off.

After managing to manoeuvre off the slip road, the lorry then drove onto the A90 in the wrong direction.

Transport Scotland has since concluded that the junction meets appropriate safety standards despite the near-miss.

Gordon and Buchan MP Harriet Cross has since spoken of her concern at the outcome of the investigation by roads bosses, and has warned similar incidents may occur due to signage not being clear enough.
