Andrew Knack has won the Edmonton mayoral race, with the 12-year representative of Ward 1 / Nakota Isga, defeating second placed Tim Cartmell by around 16,200 votes.

Knack finished with 73,053 votes, with Cartmell taking home 56,790 making up about 38.1% and 29.6% of the vote, respectively. Other candidates raking in five-digit vote tallies include Michael Walters with 22,857 (11.9%) and Omar Mohammad with 19,127 (10.0%)

Erin Rutherford took Ward Anirniq with 39.2% of the vote, an almost 10 per cent lead above the closest competitor, Jessee Watson.

Aaron Paquette has a 3,500-vote lead over second placed Banisha Sandhu in Ward Dene, all but securing Paquette’s win with two polls left to report as of writing.
