LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Thunderstorms are rolling across the Las Vegas valley as a large area of low pressure moves into southern Nevada.

Approximately 2,000 customers are currently experiencing outages, which began around 7:40 a.m. There is no word if that's related to the weather.

Lightning and rain is various areas around the valley, especially along the I-15 corridor. The thunderstorm cells moved into the valley from the south. Thunderstorms are also reported in Pahrump and Kingman, Arizona. The storm is expected to last until late morning.
