BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The North Dakota legislature could discuss requiring the presidential fitness test next year.
A proposed bill would require it in physical education classes for K-12 students.
The Legislative Management Committee will decide whether to take this bill up during an upcoming special session next year.
The bill was proposed as a way to improve the state’s scoring criteria for federal rural healthcare grant funds.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order in July to reinstate the test after Former President Obama ended it in 2012.
