In custody for the last four years on a series of reported offences, alleged gangster Ekene Anigbo is facing new charges while awaiting trial for the murder of a Naramata woman.

Ekene Anigbo and Jalen Falk were arrested and charged with first-degree murder in April 2023, in connection with the death of Kathy Richardson, who was found dead at her home in Naramata in June 2021.

The most recent charge, sworn in on Oct. 15, alleges that Anigbo assaulted a peace officer in Oliver in September 2025, according to court records.

It is unclear when Anigbo returned to B.C., as he was in Ontario at the Millhaven Institution when he reportedly stabbed a fellow inmate in 2024.
