By Daniel Perez, El Paso Matters The University of Texas at El Paso would have proceeded with two Title IX complaints against former Vice President for Institutional Advancement Jake Logan if he had not resigned in early June, according to a pair of July 25 memos UTEP sent Logan. Both cases were dismissed in accordance with the university’s Title IX procedures and UTEP’s sexual misconduct policy because Logan no longer worked for the institution, according to memos from UTEP’s Office of Institutional Compliance/Title IX program. Title IX investigations often focus on potential sex-based discrimination, but could include stalking, sexual assault, sexual harassment and domestic violence.
