HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- A $500,000 grant hopes to enhance school security and safety within Daviess County Public Schools.

The funding comes from the Department of Justice's Violence Prevention Program. The school district says more video cameras will be installed in elementary schools.

They will have a new district-wide radio system across school grounds, buses and off-site locations and adding a transportation tablet for drivers to hear turn-by-turn voice navigation on their routes.
