WEST FARGO — In 2016, Kevin Nathe said he couldn't imagine working outside the racing industry.

In 2025, he finds himself right back into it. The former owner of Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon, Minnesota, is now the new track manager at Red River Valley Speedway.

Nathe left Buffalo River — now again named Buffalo River Speedway — when COVID-19 hit, figuring it was time as state regulations and uncertainty loomed. But he got back into racing by working for a race team, then carved a literal path by designing and constructing snocross tracks across the U.S., many of which were featured in televised races.

“So yeah, I pretty much have been industry for a long time," Nathe told The Forum on Wednesday after being reminded of his 2016 quote to the newspaper .
