A cyclist suffered serious injuries following a crash on a busy Salford road.

Officers were called out to Liverpool Street at around 6pm on Wednesday evening (October 22).

Greater Manchester Police closed off the road at the junction with Seedley Park Road following a collision involving a car and a bike .

The man riding a bike was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not currently believed to be life-threatening.

His age has not been confirmed. An investigation is underway following the collision.
