A cyclist has been left 'seriously injured' following a collision with a cement lorry off the A444. Warwickshire Police has confirmed that the cyclist, who has not been identified but is a male, has been hospitalised.

He suffered serious injuries following the collision with a cement lorry on St George's Way just before 7am this morning (October 23). Police closed off the road and part of the Griff Island.

Medics from West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) were called to the scene and treated the cyclist. "The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital," Warwickshire Police confirmed.

"His next of kin is aware." Now police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
