SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- For owner Daniel Lanigan, good food has always been about people to share it with.

That sentiment led him to open up Pig Rigs BBQ in Milldale, a somewhat unexpected endeavor when he got his hands on a food truck over a decade ago.

"The intent was to clean it up and to sell the whole business, and I inadvertently got married to it," Lanigan said.

Lanigan has since opened up a brick and mortar location in Wallingford and Milldale, offering smoked pork, ribs, chicken, and a plethora of classic barbecue sides.

"Everything in here has a component of people dig it, one way or the other," Lanigan said. "If they don't dig it, we don't do it."
