YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A criminal complaint was unsealed this week in federal court, charging a nurse and security guard at the private prison on the East Side with smuggling drugs and other contraband into the prison.
Jodi Johnson, 47, and Brenda Dixon, 62, are each charged in the U.S. Northern District Court of Ohio with single counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and providing or possessing contraband in prison.
Both women were booked Friday into the Mahoning County jail by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Both women were arraigned Tuesday and are being held pending a detention hearing Friday.
