A 38-year-old man was stabbed dead in Paterson in broad daylight on Wednesday, Oct. 22, authorities said.

William Davis was found with multiple stab wounds lying on the sidewalk at Market Street and Veterans Place around 2:20 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray said.

He was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
