PHOENIX – A Scottsdale man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of uploading child sexual abuse material, authorities said.
Thomas Giorlando, 22, was booked on one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and had his bond set at $250,000, according to Maricopa County jail records.
The Scottsdale Police Department Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit started investigating Giorlando on Tuesday after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Detectives substantiated the allegations against Giorlando, who is accused of submitting child sexual abuse material to an online platform and using the internet to search for similar images.
