AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On Thursday, the Austin Police Department asked for help identifying a suspect in connection with a southeast Austin crash that occurred Sept. 26.

The crash happened between a truck and a pedestrian just before 10 p.m. in the 2100 block of Willow Creek Drive, according to a press release.

APD said a female pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle, believed to be a red pickup truck, and that the driver failed to provide aid or call 911.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with "life-threatening" injuries and remains in the hospital, according to authorities.
