Const. Brent Paxman laid charges against over 90 drivers in 2024
A Lethbridge police officer laid more impaired driving charges than any other cop in the province last year.
The Lethbridge Police Service recognized seven of its officers Wednesday with Cpl. Cumming’s Watch awards for their efforts detecting and removing impaired drivers from the road.

Among them was Const. Brent Paxman, who, by charging 94 impaired drivers last year, led not just local officers but all cops across Alberta.
Lethbridge police charged 308 impaired drivers in 2024, with Paxman single-handedly accounting for 30 per cent of those charges.
Constables Shaun McCarthy, Mike Dowsley, Jack Krysztofiak and Josh Smith also earned awards for their impaired driving charge numbers last year
