MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The suspect accused of shooting his mother to death and "partially dismembering" another person at a Nutbush-area home Wednesday has been arrested and charged.
Arsenio Cordell Davis, 36, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and possession of a handgun as a felon.
According to Memphis Police, detectives with the department's fugitive team and investigators from the Drug Enforcement Administration responded to the 1600 block of Helsley Road after receiving a shots-fired call at 1:30 a.m.
They found a woman who was pronounced dead after a gunshot wound to her head.
The victim was identified by police as Betty Pratt, Davis' mother.
