MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Immigration arrests are on the rise in Memphis as the Memphis Safe Task Force is tackling crime and arresting those without documentation.

The United States, plenty who don't live here, want to. And some who come with hopes and dreams have given us an earful about what it takes to become a citizen.

"Our immigration system is broken. It's antiquated. It doesn't adjust for people who are trying to act, who want to do the right thing, and come here. And it doesn't make it short enough for us to either hear a yes or a no, and it's a lot of money," said Edgar Granados, father arrested by ICE.

His father, Jerardo Grenados, was detained by Immigration agents while sitting in the driveway of his Bartlett home back in July. Jerardo is being deported back to Mexico.
