MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A shooting outside Caldwell-Guthrie Elementary School in North Memphis left two men hospitalized Thursday afternoon.
The Memphis Police Department says the shooting call came in at 4:07 p.m., almost an hour after school dismissed for the day.
A department spokesperson says two men, ages 22 and 19, suffered non-critical injuries.
Investigators say that the victims were walking outside the school when an unknown shooter fired at them.
Officers are currently posted at the intersection of Morehead Street and Chelsea Avenue, directly outside the school.
MPD says both victims were already en-route to the hospital in a private vehicle before officers made the scene.
No suspect information has been released.
