OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) -- Officials announce new playground Communication Boards at Cravens Elementary School in Owensboro.

Owensboro Public Schools and River Valley Behavioral Health unveiled the additions today. These visual tools are designed to help students with limited verbal skills communicate and play more inclusively.

The initiative supports children with autism, speech delays and other communication needs by pairing symbols with spoken words. Officials say 11 playgrounds across Owensboro will also receive these boards.
