WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. - An 18-year-old from West Memphis led state troopers and local police on a chase across the city Monday morning, according to Arkansas State Police (ASP).
ASP said 18-year-old Terrell Johnson of West Memphis drove a stolen Hyundai Genesis across state lines from Memphis to West Memphis around 11:30 a.m. on October 20. West Memphis Police (WMPD) and ASP troopers pursued the stolen car through city streets.
According to state police, Johnson crashed the car near the intersection of 7th Street and Barton Street but briefly regained control of the stolen Hyundai and continued driving. Authorities eventually used a Tactical Vehicle Intervention, similar to a PIT maneuver, to crash the car.
Authorities took Johnson into custody and found a gun inside of the car, according
