MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A DeSoto County coach was arrested and is accused of filming someone without their permission, police said.
28-year-old Benjamin Kegerise, a teacher and coach at Center Hill High School, was arrested after investigators say he secretly filmed someone where they had an expectation of privacy.
The arrest report from the Olive Branch Police Department showed Kegerise was taken into custody early Friday morning.
He's charged with photographing or filming another person without permission. Which is a serious privacy violation under Mississippi law.
Officers said the alleged incident was reported last week, and Kegerise is now being held in the DeSoto County Jail.
The DeSoto County School District confirmed that he was suspended pending the investigation.
