MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Will Shelby County Commissioners override a second veto by Mayor Lee Harris?
They discussed it as a possibility during Wednesday's committee meeting after Harris blocked their plans to change school board elections.
Last month, commissioners voted to sync up school board elections with their own.

In his veto, issued earlier this month, Harris wrote in part, "Absent an emergency or in the case of criminal misconduct, I do not believe that the terms of elected officials should be shortened. As such, I hereby veto."
In committee, Commissioner Edmund Ford Jr. asked if there'd be enough votes for it to be a successful veto.
