Alaska Airlines temporarily grounded flights nationwide Thursday afternoon due to IT issues affecting operations.

“We apologize for the inconvenience. If you're scheduled to fly tonight, please check your flight status before heading to the airport,” the company wrote in a statement posted to social media at 3:21 p.m.

Alaska Airlines did not respond immediately to an email requesting more information.

Fairbanks International Airport didn’t receive any communication regarding the ground stop as of 5 p.m. Thursday, according to Chief of Operations Phil Adams.

According to Adams all flights were operating normally.

“The last flight that we have here departed, 2406 to Anchorage, departed at 4:26 p.m.” Adams said.
