PORTLAND, Ore. — At around 7 p.m. Thursday, Alaska Airlines posted to X , it is actively restoring operations after an information technology outage that temporarily disrupted flights across its network.

Alaska Airlines confirmed Thursday afternoon that it is experiencing an information technology outage affecting operations across its network and has issued a temporary ground stop.

The airline posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, around 4:21 p.m., saying the outage was disrupting flights. “We apologize for the inconvenience,” the airline said. “If you're scheduled to fly tonight, please check your flight status before heading to the airport.”

The carrier did not immediately provide details about the cause of the outage, the full extent of the ground stop or how long the order is
