LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - New affordable housing for Lake Charles seniors is on the way, courtesy of the Capstone at the Oaks.

“This was created in mind for seniors to understand that aging and living well can all be considered under one roof,” Jacqueline Green, Executive Director of the Calcasieu Parish Council on Aging, said.

The Capstone at the Oaks has 120 units of affordable living at 2401 Sixth Street. The Calcasieu Council on Aging will also offer different support services.

“Seniors can expect to experience an all-inclusive living environment. We’re standing in our beautiful community room where we will be providing services, resources, and programs, and also including hot meals daily for our residents here at Capstone,” Green said.
