Kim Kardashian has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, when an artery in the brain bulges outwards, creating a risk it could one day burst.
The condition may sound alarming, but it is surprisingly common and often does not cause problems or need any treatment.
In fact, such aneurysms are being increasingly diagnosed when people have brain scans for other reasons, causing growing numbers to get worried unnecessarily, experts have said.
“The vast majority of people who have a brain aneurysm never get diagnosed and live their entire lives without any problems,” said Dr Jeremy Lynch, a neuroradiologist at King’s College Hospital. New Feature
