FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - An 18-year-old found guilty of the 2022 shooting of a Fort Wayne girl was sentenced Friday to decades in prison.
Last month, jurors found Raymond Washington guilty of shooting 16-year-old Le’Brishia Hobbs on July 6, 2022. She died a month after the shooting.
Two other teens, Elaysha Underwood and Ja’Layah Brown , were charged in the case first and later took plea agreements in the case. Underwood was ordered to serve 20 years in prison, while Brown was sentenced to six years.
Washington, Underwood and Brown were also ordered to pay Hobbs’ mother $6,624.00.
The teens were trying to rob Hobbs of her phone because of photos and videos on it, according to court records. Underwood told detectives and prosecutors she thought Washington agreed to help so he could
