MADISON (WKOW) — 27 News' Pet of the Week is Max!

Max is a 6-month-old neutered lab mix from the Humane Society of Jefferson County (HSJC).

"Max is a happy, lovable pup who just wants to be everyone’s best friend," said HSJC spokesperson Madison Cummings. "He adores attention, loves playing in the yard with his buddies, and enjoys spending time with his favorite humans."

Cummings said Max is still learning his manners and leash skills.

Max does very well around children and families.

"He recently attended our Trunk or Treat event and did incredible meeting kiddos and other dogs, both in and out of scary costumes," Cummings said. "With a little guidance, this sweet boy will make an amazing lifelong companion."
