SHANNON COUNTY, Mo. — Conservation agents in Shannon County have charged three men after discovering a wildlife poaching operation that left three headless deer dumped along a road in early September.
According to court documents, Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) agents began investigating Sept. 1 after three freshly killed deer carcasses were found along County Road 651, with their heads removed. Agents say photographs later surfaced on social media showing three antlered bucks and several individuals posing near a light-colored vehicle.
