(WTAJ) -- As the nights get colder and the days get shorter, winter is quickly approaching. But it's not too late to still see the beautiful fall leaves of Pennsylvania.

A small number of Pennsylvania counties have missed the chance and are considered "season over," according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).

A large portion, however, are just a bit past its peak. Still nice, but rapidly declining, the DCNR added. A majority, though, are at peak and quite a view to see.

The counties that are over are Bradford, Susquehanna, and Wayne. Another 27 are still nice, while the other 37 are at their peak over the next week -- Oct. 23 - Oct. 29. You can view the official DCNR map below.
