The Park City Fire District extinguished a small fire on land off Deer Valley Drive on Friday afternoon.

The Fire District reported the fire spread through approximately one quarter of an acre 150 feet off the road before it was stopped. The location is close to a retaining wall on the side of the road. It is across the street from Marriott’s Summit Watch lodging property on Main Street.

The Fire District received the report at 2:12 p.m. and contained the blaze by 2:40 p.m. It was extinguished at a little bit before 3 p.m.

No injuries were reported and there was no threat to property.

The Fire District said outbound Deer Valley Drive nearby the Old Town roundabout was temporarily closed to traffic and inbound traffic was limited to one lane for the emergency response.
