Two minors sustained burn injuries and were transported to medical facilities after to a brush fire according to Hamden fire officials.

Firefighters responded to the area of Stratton Court around 6 p.m. for a brush fire. Fire officials said a neighbor extinguished the fire before they arrived.

Before the minors were transported by American Medical Response, the firefighters provided immediate treatment to the injured individuals.

One of the minors was taken to Bridgeport Burn Center and the other was transported to Yale Pediatric for specialized care, fire officials said.

The Hamden Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the brush fire.
