PALATINE, Ill. — An investigation is underway on Saturday morning after two people were found dead inside an apartment in suburban Palatine on Friday night.

According to Palatine police, officers were first called to the apartment complex in the 1000 block of North Sterling Avenue in just before 9:30 p.m. Friday following a report of an ambulance assist.

When they arrived on the scene, they found the victims, an 4-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man, dead inside their apartment.

Officers are now working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident and have not yet identified either victim.

An investigation is now underway, and officers say they do not believe that there is any threat to the public.
