Exactly a month after the stampede at Tamil Nadu’s Karur that claimed 41 lives during a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) rally addressed by actor-turned-politician Vijay, the party has arranged a meeting between him and the bereaved families – but the plan has already drawn quiet resentment among some victims’ relatives.
Two top TVK sources told The Indian Express that all 41 families have been asked to reach Mahabalipuram, near Chennai , by Sunday afternoon. “Vijay will meet them on Monday, and they will leave after lunch,” one of the leaders said. A resort has been booked for the gathering, but the format of the meeting – whether it will be held at an auditorium inside the resort or whether Vijay will visit the families individually in their rooms – “is not yet decided,” the TVK leade
