Caitlin Clark’s sneakers almost took the Indiana Fever to the Finals. Clark was already ruled out and cheering games from the sidelines, but her kicks were once the good luck charm for the Fever. It started when they were down 1-0 in their best-of-3 first-round series to the Atlanta Dream. She walked out on the court with her Black Nike Air Force 1s for the first time, and the Fever went 3-0 with Clark’s Air Force 1s on the sidelines.

“I mean, they’re working, so,” Lexie Hull had said following the Game 3 win against Atlanta. “We told her she’s bringing them in her bag, wearing them every day.” Ultimately, the Air Force 1 magic faded as the Fever lost out in Game 5 of the semifinals.
