A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 1:48 p.m. in effect until Sunday at 5 p.m. for South Central Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.
"Total snow accumulations 6 to 16 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph over high and exposed terrain," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The heaviest snow is expected Saturday afternoon when there is a 90% chance of 1 inch per hour rates."
"Travel may be difficult and delays in your commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage," says the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling."
