Guard the candy
Don’t share your Halloween candy, even the ones you think are harmless. Check the labels on your human treats.
We all know chocolate is bad for dogs, but a lesser-known substance toxic for dogs is xylitol. The ingredient is commonly found in sugarless gums but Gallucci warned that the ingredient is now starting to be found in a popular human treat.
