RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced on Saturday, Oct. 25, that the lane closures along Powhite Parkway will be extended.
According to a spokesperson with Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority, multiple lane closures along with, "intermittent stoppages up to 20 minutes, on the Powhite Parkway," were in effect.
The closures and stoppages were in effect on Powhite's northbound and southbound lanes between the James River Bridge and Forest Hill Avenue.
The advisory was originally scheduled to end Sunday at 6 a.m. and is now extended until Sunday 2 p.m.
According to Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the closures and stoppages will occur Saturday, Oct. 25 from 8:00 p.m. to Sunday Oct. 26, 2:00 p.m. for construction.
