Charlotte (USA): An Indian-origin teacher assistant in the US was arrested on charges of attacking her husband with a knife after an argument over house cleaning. She was later released on bail but has been forbidden from getting close to her husband.

According to WBTV, this is a very rare incident in North Carolina’s education community. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has said that the alleged assault occurred on October 12 at the couple’s apartment on Foxhaven Drive in the Ballantyne area of the city. ADVERTISEMENT

The accused, identified as Chandraprabha Singh (44), works as a teacher assistant for grades K-3 at Endhaven Elementary School in Charlotte.
