Rex Ryan could not hold back his emotion while discussing the death of Nick Mangold.
Mangold passed away at 41-years-old, the New York Jets announced on Sunday.
The seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro had been seeking a kidney transplant.
"It's brutal. Such a great young man," former Jets coach Rex Ryan said on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown.
Fans mourned the sudden loss of Mangold and sympathized with Ryan, who was clearly overcome with emotion as he discussed his former offensive lineman.
"Hugs all around brothers, we lost one of the good ones today," one fan posted.
"Feel so sorry for the Mangold family and Rex Ryan," a second fan wrote. "All these stories of how Nick Mangold was a classy, classy man really get to you."
Ryan coached the Jets 2009-14, compiling a 46-50 recor
