Sunday Slants is a weekly feature after North Dakota State games to focus on four big points (or downs) from the prior day’s game.
North Dakota State scored the largest margin of victory in the history of the Dakota Marker series Saturday night, blasting South Dakota State 38-7 in front of a record crowd at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. It was the biggest victory for a Bison team over the Jackrabbits since 1992, a 47-10 win, where Pete Erickson scored a 76-yard touchdown on the second play of the game.
This was domination from start to finish, led by the Bison defense, which racked up four sacks and held the Jacks to zero yards after the first quarter.
Here are my four takeaways from NDSU’s blowout win over SDSU.
