CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Cumberland County resort is set to permanently close, resulting in nearly 90 people being laid off.

According to a WARN Notice filed to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Glade will be permanently closing effective Dec. 31, 2025.

The closure will affect a total of 88 workers, who are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

The WARN Notice said the Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team has been notified to coordinate services with the employer and the affected employees.
