FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - As temperatures continue to cool, many Hoosiers are starting to spend more time indoors.
In preparation, Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is urging its customers to ‘warm up’ to electrical safety.
The utility company says customers can do the following to remain warm and protected this cold season:
Use caution near outlets and lights.
Avoid overloading circuits.
Operate appliances with care, regularly inspecting them for damage, keeping them away from water, unplugging them when not in use, and cleaning their exhaust fans (if applicable).
