The Mexican Grand Prix is never short of drama, and Max Verstappen knows that all too well.

The Dutchman heads back to Mexico City with no margin for error as he chases down his fifth title, and any repeat of 2016 could be a disaster.

Back when the Red Bull driver was witnessing rival Lewis Hamilton 's era of dominance it was instead Sebastian Vettel who he found himself repeatedly tangling with.

Vettel was still racing for Ferrari , but his four world titles were a long way in the past.

That drop off sent him back into Verstappen's grasp battling for podiums, much like in Mexico '16 with Verstappen in third and Vettel fourth.

In the closing stages Verstappen ran wide on turn one and refused to give the place back as he just drove straight across.

This gave the Dutchman an advant
