After securing the Canadian Championship this season, the Vancouver Whitecaps take on FC Dallas in hopes of adding an MLS Cup to their trophy cabinet.

The match at BC Place will be the first game in a best-of-three series, with the first team to win two matches advancing to face LAFC or Austin FC in the Western Conference semifinals.

If the match is tied after 90 minutes, it will go directly into a penalty shootout. The second match will be held on Nov. 1 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas and the third (if necessary) on Nov. 7 back in Vancouver.

The Whitecaps come into this series as the No. 2 seed, led by Bayern Munich and Germany legend Thomas Müller, who has added 12 goal contributions in eight matches across all competitions since his arrival.

Meanwhile, No. 7 seed FC Dallas made significant strides after a dire start, especially after the departure of Luciano Acosta.
