WFPD – Jonett Wanner

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A cold case investigation turns up a vehicle in the Red River in Fargo but it is learned that it is not tied to the case of Jonett Wanner who has been missing since 2023.

On Wednesday, an independent Missing Person Cold Case Dive Team called “Adventures With Purpose” located a vehicle using sonar technology near the Dike East Boat Ramp.

On Saturday morning, Fargo Police and Valley Water Rescue pulled the vehicle from the river.

It appears it had been there for some time and there was no evidence of anyone being in the vehicle.

Police are now working to identify how the vehicle ended up in the river and who might be associated with it.

They say it does not appear to be related to the Wanner case.
