LUZERNE — Andy Perugino’s Restaurant, which has been serving up homemade Italian fare in the borough for over 90 years, has officially closed its doors.
According to a post on the business’s Facebook page, the owners of Perugino’s, located at 258 Charles St., decided to close the restaurant due to health reasons.
“This wasn’t an easy choice — this restaurant has been our home, our passion, and our connection to so many of you who have become like family,” the owners wrote in the post.
“We are deeply grateful for every meal shared, every celebration held, and every memory made within these walls. Your support and loyalty over the years have meant more to us than words can express.”
The restaurant, a Wyoming Valley staple for decades, was founded by the late Andy Perugino in 1933. Known
