BATTLE CREEK — For the third year in a row, Harper Creek will be the lone city team that will get a chance at bonus football in the postseason.
The Beavers are the only team in Battle Creek that will be playing in the first round of the high school football playoffs, which begin Friday, Oct. 31.
Overall, seven programs from the Battle Creek area advanced to the high school football postseason. Only five teams advanced to the playoffs last year, one of the lowest totals for the area since the playoffs went to eight divisions and added 8-player football.
