Law enforcement is still gathering evidence and searching for the people responsible for a shooting Saturday night at Lincoln University that left one dead and six injured, Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said.
Police do have one person in custody, Zecqueous Morgan-Thompson, 21, of Wilmington, but he is charged only with carrying an unlicensed firearm and is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail. De Barrena-Sarobe would not say whether the gun found on Morgan-Thompson was used in the shooting.
De Barrena-Sarobe said police are operating under a “strong belief” that there were multiple shooters, although they don’t believe a mass casualty event was the purpose of the shooting.
